Last Sunday was a rainy afternoon

So I stayed inside my room

For I know that love doesn't come

On a rainy afternoon

Though nothing's like the sound of falling rain

As it lands up on my roof

I can't help but wonder

If it does me any good

The clouds come to cover the sky

On a rainy afternoon

And no amount of sunny songs

Can take away the gloom

At least I know that sunny days aren't far away

Cuz rainy days are never to stay

The mist that hovers in the air

On a rainy afternoon

It shades the colors of the sky

But scatters all too soon

For the feeling that it brings still lingers on

When all the rain is gone

I guess that storms can never stay too long

For I know that love doesn't come

On a rainy afternoon
